Allie Tierney and Kunwei Yang presented their research at NERM 2015 in Ithaca, NY this week. Their poster presentations were well-received, and we had a great time at the meeting and exploring upstate New York with Prof. Brindle and Phong Quach ’17.

At Taughannock Falls State Park

We celebrated Livia’s graduation from Trinity and Clara’s graduation from high school on May 1 at DISH in Hartford. Livia will be attending Tufts for graduate study in biochemistry, and Clara will be attending Wellesley.

Livia, Kunwei, and Allie presented their research to the Trinity community at the 2015 Spring Science Symposium on April 30.

My recent review of analytical chemistry research at primarily undergraduate institutions (PUIs) was recently named a “hot” article by the publisher, making it free to access for a few weeks!

The group attended the annual spring meeting of the Connecticut Valley Section of the ACS on Saturday at the University of St. Joseph in West Hartford, CT.

Livia gave a talk and received the CVS award for biochemistry for Trinity College.

Kunwei and Allie gave their first poster at a regional meeting.

Kunwei and Allie presented their research at department seminar in a talk titled “The Measurement of Protein Kinase B (PKB) and Peptidase Activities in Dictyostelium.” Jake Rubin and Shelly Dyer from the Church lab also presented.

Berjana Nazarko finished her coursework and will receive her degree in May. The lab took her out to dinner at The Cheesecake Factory to celebrate.

On November 14, Kunwei presented her first department seminar on her research. Her title was “The Measurement of Protein Kinase B (PKB) Activity in Dictyostelium”.
