2019 Experimental Biology / American Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
RJ Chadha ’20 and Prof. Kovarik attended the 2019 Experimental Biology meeting in Orlando, FL. This meeting combines the annual meetings of several societies, including the American Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, which sponsored RJ’s travel based on his poster award from the meeting held at Northeastern University last semester.
RJ presented his poster in the Undergraduate Poster Session, where he won Honorable Mention, and in the main meeting. Congratulations RJ!
Pittcon 2019
Jessica Duong ’19, Rahuljeet Chadha ’20, and Prof. Kovarik traveled to Philadelphia, PA to attend Pittcon during spring break, March 16-20. We had a great reunion with former lab member Greg Kalminskii, who is currently finishing his degree at Swarthmore College.
Each of the students presented a poster on their work in the lab.
And we had a great time at the Expo…

2018 American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Northeast Regional Meeting
On November 18, RJ Chadha and Jason Deck presented their research in the lab at the 2018 American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Northeast Regional Meeting at Northeastern University in Boston. The poster session was very sucessful with both Jason and RJ getting positive feedback on their work. RJ won one of three best poster undergraduate awards at the meeting, and his prize includes $500 toward attendance at the 2019 ASBMB Annual Meeting in Orlando, FL this April. Congratulations RJ!
Unfortunately, we did not get any photos of RJ and Jason at their posters, but we did get our picture taken at the Logan Airport rental car counter, where we picked up some replacement wheels after Prof. K’s car broke down.
